LOVE AGAIN PRESS RELEASE
When your first professional gig is in a Paris nightclub as the house singer and your debut album spawns an award winning song ("You Don't Scare Me"), your follow-up needs to be something special. Leah Tysse's second album, titled 'LOVE AGAIN' is just that.
Containing 10 original tracks and 3 re-makes masterfully flipped and arranged by Leah's co-producer/songwriter, musical director and keyboardist Mike Blankenship (Lauryn Hill, Shelia E., Ledisi), 'LOVE AGAIN' is more than just a follow-up record, it is a musical evolution for Tysse that has taken her love of groove and funk and mixed it with the soulful expression she has become known for.
This new direction is evident on the album's first single, "Hope Is Rising", a funky track that infuses Leah's melodic vocals with the funky styling's of producer and keyboardist Sundra Manning (Prince, MC Hammer, The Roots).
Also joining her on this album are co-producer, songwritier and keyboardist Lynette Williams (Will.I.Am.), bassist Eric "Pikfunk" Smith (Rihanna, Fantasia), guitarist Errol Cooney (Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, Goapele) and drummer Chris Johnson (Rihanna).
Filled with songs of love, heartache, positive energy and real-life commentary, 'LOVE AGAIN' is an album reflective of a person who has matured not only personally but also musically.
From the inspired "I Do" to the head bobbing "Step Out", Leah Tysse has put together an assortment of songs complimenting her vocal abilities as well as her songwriting skills.
The album has been picked up for distribution by Sony Music Entertainment and is available at most digital retailers on November 29th, 2011. 'LOVE AGAIN' is the perfect gift for this holiday season for the music lover in your life.
